About Us
Welcome to Rise High Bakery, where every batch of dough tells a story and every treat makes a difference. Our bakery provides vocational baking training to Autistic and other Neurodivergent adults who require minimal support in the kitchen.
The Rise High Bakery Board of Directors are parents and caregivers of Autistic and other Neurodivergent adults, and others passionate about the cause. We created Rise High Bakery to offer adults with learning differences baking and bakery business practices training to help participants develop important life- and work-related skills, which can improve confidence and may increase opportunities for future employment.
While we don't provide direct job placement, the skills participants gain through baking may improve their readiness for potential job opportunities in food service or other industries.
Our Mission
At Rise High Bakery, our mission is to create a nurturing, safe, respectful, and fun environment where adults of all ages are empowered by learning new skills in baking. Our program provides practical hands-on training in baking and essential bakery business practices, including everything from understanding recipes, preparing and baking products, and packaging, labeling, and effectively selling baked goods and breads.
What We Do
Our vocational bakery offers volunteer participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world setting, learning to create a wide range of delicious baked goods. Volunteer staff and participants play a vital role in this process, assisting with baking and selling our creations.
